This thread is going no where good haha.

It's simple some of us like sports too much to stop watching even with the current "stuff" going on. I love fantasy football and watching football. It would take a lot to make me stop watching. Some people cannot get over it which I understand. I think a lot of this is generational.

My dad struggles to watch it and he loves sports.

And by the way, I vote for Trump and completely disagree with the NFL but I will be watching every Sunday, go Cowboys!!

No matter what people think or say, the NFL will never go away. I think people actually care about what athletes have to say. Not sure why? Kind of like caring what celebrities have to say. It's simple, don't watch if you think they are disrespecting your idea of what our men and women fought and continue to fight for. I'm a veteran, I don't like it, but guess what, I served so they could burn the flag if they choose. I disagree, but that's my opinion. I will continue to watch football because I like football. Could care less who's throwing or running or catching the ball. I just like the sport; always have. If you think they will have an impact on your child's outlook, then I say you are not involved enough in your child's life plain and simple. After this dies down it will be something else to complain about. Just stop watching, but don't try to push your opinions on others. That's no different from what they are doing is it?

I drove in my second Trump Train at 4 pm. Tuned in to the Cowboy game to see what they did. One dude knealt that will not be on the team long. The rest stood. Coach and owner had their hands on their heart. I left it on and did some stuff and saw parts of the game.

Is that acceptable?

BTW, there were no criminals names on anyone's helmet. That was done by a couple of ******nozzles at practice. Not any Cowboys.

Itís the same to me. Support is support and I bought steaks at HEB last night. I just go about life and try my best to ignore what I donít care for. I see sports as nothing more than entertainment. I watch movies when my wife wants to as well. I really donít care what the folks on the screen do as long as Iím entertained. If Iím watching football itís the same. Turned on the Cowboys for about 15-20 minutes yesterday and didnít hear any political BS or see anything different. Didnít see any close ups of helmets or tennis shoes or whatever. Kinda like the radio- There are a lot of songs I enjoy that there is someone singing I donít share any common interests or values. I figure they can have their own views and that is their right. NFL owners and Commish are at fault here. Make rules nothing political on field- period. Bring the teams out when itís time to play. If they want to stand- kneel- lay down the can do it in the locker room.

What about Budweiser, Coors, Ford, Chevorlet- they are all advertising during these sporting events.

Glen, is this you? I think someone hacked Glen's account. J/K

The way I think, it's a lot like buying Chinese carp. I would rather buy American made products (John Deere mower vs. China carp) but, dang it, sometimes I have no choice (and price doesn't enter in the equation). I don't shop HEB, but do shop Kroger instead. I have used Amazon (fishing gear) because stores around here are empty. But, I do have a choice and I will not watch, listen or even talk about the NFL because of their stance supporting BLM/antifa vs cops and America. Death to terrorists! and terrorist organizations!

For the love of God the NFL did not have a rapists name displayed anywhere.

Y'all are using liberal tactics. Make sure it is true before you mention it.

Sabine. It’s me. I can’t keep up with all the idiots and who they support. NFL players all have a different stance so you can’t group all players in one basket. It’s kinda like music. I like Bruce Springsteen. I do try to buy American made. But I do shop at HEB because they are closest to my house

When did we stop being a country free to like what we want? You don't like the NFL, then stop watching it. Simple. Stop taking up space on here trying to recruit followers.

The NFL doesn't allow random stuff on your uniform. It has to be league wide.

Accused rapist... does innocent until proven guilty only apply to some? When it's convenient to the story/meme?
The story about the warrant was reported the same day as the practice. Prior to that probably all they knew was that he was shot seven times in the back and paralyzed by police in front of his kids.
He was accused of sexual assault by an adult woman, so yeah, suggesting that he's a child rapist for effect in your meme is a brazen distortion of the facts at best. Lie isn't too far off.
It's this kind of crap that discourages me about the effectiveness of messages from people that believe in a lot of the same principals I do. It's not OK to lie to make a point. It's not OK to ignore the pillars of our justice system when you don't like the accused. When you stoop that low you can't and shouldn't be taken seriously.

Hmmm maybe they should remind cam newton then, apparently you missed his shoes this weekend
Or maybe you donít remember kapís pig socks?
But that wasnít the point anyway, point Is they support what was on their practice gear and just because they didnít wear it on game day doesnít change anything. You can put lipstick on a pig and itís still a pig.
Iím amazed at the apathy.

We quit watching as well. I really miss it, but I just don’t want to support their BS. I understand that many places or businesses I still support stand for things I don’t like as well. I just do what I can where I can. I need groceries, a cell phone, and electricity, so I don’t have a huge choice in not patronizing these companies. But, watching sports is not something I NEED, so I won’t watch and I truly believe if more would stick together it would at minimum send a message. People can justify whatever they want to make themselves comfortable or avoid the issue. And I feel like most people saying they separate it and just watch for entertainment don’t care enough about these issues and just go with the flow. It honestly is making me lose interest to the point it is getting easier not to watch

There, I fixed it for you....
Wait are we talking about the 14 YO rapist meme? The guyís obviously a scumbag and may have deserved to get shot, but willfully distorting the facts makes anyone, no matter which team theyíre on, zero credibleó just a puppet saying whatever to get their point across. That knife cuts red as easily as it does blue.

Because the 14 YO rapist meme is a liberal media creation, right?

Itís ironic to read ďwokeĒ conservatives talking about sheeple and critical thinking who are just means-to-an-end propagandists parroting what the red coach says.

I wish some real dialogue on issues were possible. This country is in trouble and no amount of chest thumping in echo chambers is going to help.

Why would the players need to put the names of criminals on their helmets when they already have the names of them on their jersey ?

Again, I've never seen an actor talking politics as an intro before the movie starts, or during the movie, or when credits are rolling. If they want to be political off set that's their business.. Same with sports players. Why can't people see the difference?

The point in this thread was because a long time ago TBHers were ticked off about NFL players beating women or committing crimes etc.. Then it was the next step, then the next... It's ALWAYS if they take one more bad step I swear I won't watch them anymore But at least some here have flat out said it doesn't matter what they do, they'll still watch and not support (but really support lol).

And where's the truthseer meltingfeather to make sure it's not all lies? Why is he not scolding liberals 24 hours a day every second they have their mouth open?

How many times do you actually see an actor interviewed before during or after every movie? Press conferences every week? Itís completely different. Thereís a reason you see the endorsement deals and notoriety that they get.

When actors speak, itís not during the movie, but they absolutely speak.

A quick google search is all you need and you can decipher for yourself. Not here to argue or say who is right and who is wrong, especially with someone who is childish enough to correct grammar. If you want to watch football watch it, if you don't then don't. My only point is, in todays world you are going to be indirectly supporting that movement one way or another. Walmart, Amazon and the likes you just cant stay away from all the time. I hate going to Walmart and supporting them and I try to buy local vs going to Amazon, but sometimes I have to, it just is what it is.

You only hang out in red zones. My liberal friends think I'm a fascist. I'm an equal opportunity antagonist. I'm not better than anyone or see anything that everyone else can't-- I just want everybody to raise their game.
