Default Help answer a question

I cooked dinner for my girlfriend, her sister and mother, and her motherís boyfriend tonight. After dinner we are having a drink and a commercial pops up of a grown man taking a bath. My Girlfriends motherís boyfriend pipes up and says ďthat looks great, Iím going to take a bath when I get homeĒ. I thought he was joking, but he was dead serious.

I canít imagine taking a bath if a shower was an option, and I figured that most men thought the same on this. Do men take baths these days?? Am I missing something?? Or is it just the city culture Iím surrounded by?

I’m about as redneck or country as they come, and I enjoy a nice hot bath, especially after a hard day at work.

I take a bath every day, only shower if I’m too dirty to get in the tub.

If I need to relax some muscles or just to take some soreness out, then a bath it is.

I went on a horseback mountain lion hunt many years ago and the outfitter said to take as hot a bath as I could stand to take the soreness out from riding the horses and dang if he was not right. Did it after every horseback ride and never was sore the next day.

Bath is nice if I'm sore or feel like crap, but I wouldn't call it a regular recreational activity

Worn out at the end of the day Iím not afraid to go soak. After having back surgery the jacuzzi jets sure do feel good to relax the muscles.

I soak in my big *** tub sometimes.. might as well call it a jacuzzi. Ainít no shame in my game. After a long day Iíll pour a cup of epsom salt in the tub and heat that SOB up and lay back. Gets even better when my wife decides to join.

The older you get the better a nice hot bath feels. It can really loosen up tight muscles.

I'll take a bath if I'm hurt and need to soak. If not I'm in a hurry to do other stuff most of the time so I shower. It's a lot faster.

A while back my whole body was hurting so i ran a hot bath (been years). I got in and sat there for about 2 minutes and thought about how goofy it was and I dont fit very well. I got up and took a hot shower

One thing I don't like about baths is I've never had a bathtub I could stretch out in. Which probably saves me from falling asleep and drowning so it's alright.

Shower 100% of the time to get clean. If I am sore for some reason or another and a shower can't cut it, I have been known to take a bath to soak and soothe the muscles. But again, I shower to get clean.

We have an old claw tub to bathe in at the ranch house at the lease and I'm not a fan of bathing in my own filth.....especially an all day deer lease trip filth. It was, I thought, the only hot water I had access to. When I found out there was a spigot on the side of the house with hot water access, I built a full shower before my next trip and set it up next to our cabin. Haven't used that tub in 10 years....

I have the same thought process of Smart. I still feel dirty when I take a bath. My wife takes one daily and I tell her every single time that she still dirty. I thinks it's gey to take a bath but man, after a long wkend of hunting, fishing or anything, I will sit in some boiling water to get the body right.

Whats the difference in a hot bath and sitting in a Hot Tub? Other than 5,000 dollars?

I dont take baths but i see why people would. If i were to take a bath it would be after i was clean and for the muscle relaxation.

We have a big Jacuzzi tub you can get 2 people in there and bubbles coming out your ears but I have only used it once. Just not my thing.
Although, I had a gf that was from Europe and she would only take a bath, didn't like showers and she had the softest skin I ever felt.

A good hot soaking feels good every now and then. Like others, I'll shower to get clean and then slide into a tub of hot water to soak. These old worn out bones enjoy it.

The difference is several hundred gallons of water, filtered and chlorinated.

No baths for me, was in high school last time I took one and that was due to a super sore and achy back. But when done immediately stood up and showered off. The bath was more of a hot tub than anything. Wouldn't be opposed to that now but still not really worth it to me. Rather just shower off.

Don't do hot tubs either, or swimming pools.
