    Foam Board Insulation Installation

It's too late now but I'm going to ask anyhow. I am building a blind and wanted to insulate. Instead of cutting a piece of foam to fit between each and every stud board I just gorilla glued the entire 1/2" foam board to the outside of the wall frames and then screwed the plywood to the frame over the foam board. Saved a lot of headache and mess by not cutting the foam. Thoughts?

Being it's a deer stand, I see no issues with that.

Your good. We do that in commercial construction all the time.

          It just costs room.

Yeah, I lost a bit. Going to be alone most of the time anyhow.

Did I miss something? You screwed the foam to the exterior of the studs and then sheathed over it on the exterior with plywood, correct? If so how did you lose any interior room?

I was thinking the exact same thing.

I took "outside the wall frames" to mean "not in between the studs", but still inside the blind. I may have misinterpreted that though.

I lost some room if I move the outside plywood to meet the edge of the floor base. I keep the room if I set the studs on the outside edge of the floor base but then I’m using more plywood to cover the foam board difference. We’re talking 1/2” on each side so it’s not a big deal.

Agreed. Not to mention, you probably saved a lot of money over buying this -

This is essentially just foam board liquid nailed to zip sheathing.

You’re a genius! I’m going to do this on my next build.
