Hall of Fame pitcher Don Sutton died on Monday at 75 years old.

His son Daron Sutton announced the news on Twitter, writing that his father died overnight in his sleep. According to the Baseball Hall of Fame, Sutton died of cancer.

Hate to hear that. I actually talked on the phone with him in 1983 - the father of a girl I was dating was Don Sutton’s coach in Junior College. Sutton would call their house sometimes and talk to his old coach. I thought he was pulling my leg until I was over there one day when he called and they put me in the phone with him.
