Does it have plastic gears ? I have been thinking about picking one up .
No...it's all steel, which is why I bought it. For some reason as soon as I get any real pressure the gears start to slip. I've taken it all apart and still can't figure it out.
I have this one.........don’t be like me and buy this one. The disappointment might drive you to drinkin, I am.
I just tried to stuff 50 lbs. this sob is so hard to crank I think I need shoulder replacement now! I got about 30 lbs done and just put the rest in freezer bags.
Spend good money on a good product please.

Flywise,
Try adding some warm water to your mix, we usually add a pint or so and stuffing is much easier. If it’s cold and sticky, it’s next to impossible to stuff.

I appreciate that advice. I might give that thing one more try now
Over the summer I broke a stud on an old enterprise grinder that I motorized years prior. I stopped at the local Fleet farm and they had a big clearance on LEM to make room for their store brand. I bought a big 3/4 Hp LEM grinder and vertical electric stuffer with a foot pedal for under $700. I’m kicking myself for not doing it sooner as it brought a lot of the fun back into it. Prior to that, I had my in laws old cast iron enterprise stuffer (shown in the pics. above) which was a beast and I always had to clamp and re clamp it to the table.
Now, we do more grinding and stuffing than I ever have. It breaks down and cleans up nice. Best advice I can give is to buy the best you can and enjoy it for a long time.
