I’m not great at aging by toothwear but I will say this: east Texas seem to have a generally softer diet so their teeth don’t wear as fast. This means their toothwear will often give an indication that they’re younger than they actually are.
Yes 2 and maybe 3. Would have to breakout the micrometer to determine relative width of dentine vs enamel on tooth 4. And that'd be silly. But teeth 3, 5, and 6 really thin to qualify for 3 yrs. From a management standpoint, safe to say deer had not reached full antler potential.
Also, there has been no completed scientific research, that I'm aware of, that has evaluated differences in tooth wear as they relate to region, soil texture, diet, etc.
