    2021 White Bass Thread

Time to go ahead and get the 2021 white bass thread going! It's a few weeks early, but they are moving in already. My son broke his new Christmas waders in this morning in the creek. Did real good for late December. Caught 22 all on hand tied jigs. Post em up here when you start getting in them!

Man when he told me he was going this morning I thought he was crazy. I told him they are probably still 3 weeks out from coming in the creek. He normally starts hitting them good in mid to late Jan. I reckon I was wrong lol. Still shocked there starting this early.

They make good fertilizer, fun to catch, but I'll stick to crappie for eating.

I wanna get in in this action, but I need Yall to school me about the “run”

We always caught white bass mixed with our crappie with a minnow under a floating light tied to a tree in a lake! But I was you and that was typically spring break.

Creeks and rivers?? Andy kind of “trap” I should be fishing? Seems like in past years most of y’all run jigs

I have eat pretty much every fish in Texas fresh water. There is no fish I would rather have than 12 to 14 inch male white bass. I usually cull limits if this size. We often catch a lot of crappie at the same time. I fry them together and noone can tell which is which. I prefer the whites because they fillet more consistent.
