Default Do you still have the antlers from you first buck?

Mom was doing some some cleaning in the garage and found the antlers to my first deer. Tickled me, she made it a point to drop them off at the house to me. It was a small 6 I killed in Freer when I was 8. I remember it like it was yesterday, had to sit on Dadís knee to see over the window. I was shooting a youth Remington 243 thatís in my safe now. Only problem is the skull cap is broke in half. My wife wants to do something with them, any creative ideas?

Not just my first one. I have the antlers off all 48 bucks I've shot, with the exception of 1 or maybe 2.

Got mine hanging above the door to my room. Still on the same plaque my grandpa made for that little 3pt trophy. Actually have the antlers to every buck I’ve ever killed, most just in a box collecting dust but I still have them none the less.

Killed outside Edroy, Texas on the Nueces River. My grandparents leased 120 acres for 27 years until the lady passed away. I was fortunate to hunt on it for 15 years of my life. Son sold it to a strip mining company is what we heard. San Patricio County

Have all 35ish bucks Iíve ever killed past 24 years, most are horn mounts I Ďve done myself. Really need to figure out what to do with all the smaller ones, running out of room. Hereís my first.

I've still got mine (first deer was a buck).

They are hanging up in my son's room on the same plaque my dad put them on not long after I shot it. It wasn't a huge deer as far as antlers go but I was hooked from that point on. Killed it when I was 12 years old (I'm 42 now).

Reading most of the comments, Cheers to the little 1.5 yr old bucks that made our first buck hunting experience. Like I said in my first post, mom brought me my first buck antlers home. The skull was broken in half, it reminded me of someone handing me a hand full of change. LOL

Nope. Grew up bird bunting and the first deer I killed was a 9 point and the rack got left on the front porch for the dogs to drag off.

Between me and my Mom we have every antlered deer my younger brother ever killed.

Except for the big 10 he killed that I was after that ones on his wall.

Menard County 86 or 87, Murph Comptonís Ranch, he was a great dude and owned the feed store in town. Remember every bit of it, I was super proud and all of 15 or 18 guys on the lease made me feel like Iíd killed a booner.

Yep, 1998 Brown county. With my dad RIP, will never forget it. Shot it on my family’s place what I would consider the old school way. No feeder, found what looked like a good area, made a ground brush blind, sat on bare ground, and made the shot with an open sight 30-30.

I have half of mine from 1986. A buddy and I had just walked back from the morning hunt and as we were talking about our hunt I saw a deer cross the dirt driveway in front of the cabin. I grabbed my shotgun loaded with #1 buckshot and as he stepped out I shot and he dropped. One BB hit just below the base of the left antler. My tag is still tied to it with 20# test monofilament.
The skull cap and right antler got thrown out of the garage by my mom because it started to stink and she threw it in the yard. I was ******.
