Seems the old thread has bogged down, so we'll kick off a new one!

I say it's been one hell of first half, after the freeze and the deluge we've received over the last several weeks I can't remember a slower salt season in all my life.... hats off to Mayhem for trying to keep us entertained during some rough months.... thank you brother!

I think we're about to turn a corner on this weather and hopefully this wind and bays get some act right! Keep the pics coming Glenn, always always enjoy your expertise and wealth of knowledge. Hopefully this second half will be a little more exciting... and maybe I get a salt boat soon! ( I'm not boatless anymore but we won't talk about my new one

)

I had planned on going this morning, but couldn’t force myself to go, too many issues.

After about a month of just fishing from the shore (and catching nothing), I was finally able to get out on the kayak for a quick morning fish. No monsters, but got to feel some tight lines!

Beautiful fish goofie. I love them red tails then they get blue.

I'm starting to get the wade itch more but life general BS had been getting in the way far too much.

For those of yall that headed South, how's the coastal crowds today? I wish I had a place in the mainland so I could drink beer and hang out at the ramp on weekends like this.

By far the least amount of people I have ever seen in matagorda on a holiday weekend.

My buddy Matt Springfield had a guest cancel on him for this week's podcast so he called me last minute and asked if I'd fill in so he could get an episode out for this week. So we recorded another episode yesterday that was released today.

Y'all check it out. We talked a little more about current conditions, the freshwater runoff, lure colors, fishing with shrimp, etc. You might find something in there worth listening to.
