Sorry about the delay guys. My trip to the kennel got changed to a milk run to "Pasa-get-down-dena" then a stop to check on a few business things and all of a sudden a trip to the Aldine area.
Let me get back at it!

Before we headed to the south island I decided to go after a Sika Deer. Talk about becoming my nemesis. We saw a ton of them but they kept sounding the alert.
Finally a 36 yard shot presented itself. I took the shot and was highly confident in the arrow placenent. Especially when the Sika laid down. .....still in eye sight!!!!! 10 minutes later it walked off.....unbelievable!!! We searched for hours, it was gut wrenching playing it over in my head and the recovery wait made for a very long night. The next morning we scowered that area on foot.....zero luck. After lunch we headed to a new area to try again. Guess who shows up shuffling akong with a few others within 15 minutes. Blood on his cape and a hole all the way thru his upper/forward shoulder. Talk about "mana from heaven!!!" Yep, the bowhunting God's were in camp with me. 4 animals down, what are the chances my grand fortune would hold as we geared up for the 3 hour flight to the southern alps?
