It's about the opportunity not necessarily the success.

Ok, answer me a question. With all that new chopped stuff, set up in a place the deer frequent, they see something new, wouldn't that spook them. The deer on that place seem pretty skittish.

Answer when you can.

Absolutely they will....smartest deer you値l ever hunt. You have to be very good at building your blind, make it look as natural as possible. No exposed cut limb ends, they値l avoid like the plague.

I would have no idea how to attack this situation. I see guys building pit blinds, that's a lot of sweat equity that deposits a lot of stink. You fellers that can take a deer out there, yall have my utmost respect.

All the talk about how tough a hunt it is has me intrigued. Think I may book a hunt here next year. For the price, you really can’t beat it. When is time to go in y'all's opinion?

Yep, I try to find a natural blind to start with. Something that has a good start but needs to filled in. Try not to make a 渡ew bush by piling lots of cut brush. If someone puts a new couch in your living room you would prob notice.

Best time is of course December but it痴 usually pretty full. I like the last couple weeks of January because I知 usually pretty well done with the regular season and it痴 usually brown down south and the bucks are post rut and usually hitting feed again. Jmo
I値l holler at you next yr, my dates are usually hit or miss but I try for thejamtimeframe if I go.

I had an 8 come in, nothing special but legal shooter, aged him a little too long and soon as I drew he turned quartered to me and never presented another shot. You snooze you loose!

Spent the morning building a blind in the creek. Corn was gone from last night but the camera didn't work. No shooters on the other cams, at least at this spot I have the unknown.

My release broke the day before I left. I would touch the trigger and it would drop back but not fire. Then when your thinking to yourself, what do I do now, it would go off.
I bought a true fire, clutch, fold back release and I'm really liking the fold back.

Only saw the dillo while hunting tonight. I did see a good buck on my drive into our pasture this evening. I'll be digging another hole tomorrow, unless I can find a good bush.

I feel naked. My usual set up would require adding to much brush. I'm sitting at a feeder. From my position let's say the road is at 12 o'clock and runs from 3 to 9 o'clock. I'm facing 5:30 and have two shooting lanes one at 2:00 back to the road and one at 4:00. The feeder is 30yrds away at 3, I have no shot at the feeder. The road is 8 yards behind me and the wind is blowing from 1 to 7. Threading the needle with the wind it's doing a little push pull back to the road.

Let's see someone diagram that.

Don't diagram the naked part. Normally you wouldn't have to say something like that, but I know who I'm dealing with. Remember this is a family site.

This deer walked up on me 5 minutes ago. He was at 4 yards when he spotted me. He is still downwind of me at 10 yards. I took his picture, waved at him, he knows he's safe.
