Cooked many a meal in a 4qt and a 5qt when the son was in scouts. Both are good sizes but 5qt is probably best. Some manufacturers go by inches instead of volume. I also remember some were the same diameter but deeper. To me, deep was better for the roast, full meal for a lot of folks type cooking.
Are you looking for one with legs or without?

My mama would cook the desert when she was doing ‘Chuckwagon Cook-Offs’. Always in a Dutch oven. Several wins and 2nds/3rds. Fond memories traveling across Texas. I need to look and see if those cook offs still happen and take my wife. It might result in us buying a chuckwagon(I wish).
Cast iron is king.

I would say the enameled will be easier to care if you don't use it very much since you don't have to worry about it rusting. Good, seasoned cast iron needs to be used in my opinion.
Mine have legs since we used them primarily outside with charcoal. If using in the house, get one without legs. If I use mine inside I put it on a pizza pan to deal with the legs.
