how much did your deer cost

was wondering how much did the deer you killed this year cost you, take the number of deer you killed and divide it by how much your lease cost, cost of feed, gun, atv, camper , camers, and anything else you bought for the season i think i got off cheap the last time i deer hunted.

    lease $1000
    corn $400
    blinds $300
    game cameras $130
    feeder $120
    arrows $100

1 deer $2050 plus $90 for processing so i paid $2140 for one deer

I think I'm at around $40 per lb.

No way I’m doing that math. I could probably go buy a whole Kobe beef cow and have it shipped from Japan and processed and cooked by Bobby Flay for cheaper than my deer meat.

I shot a doe on a hunt in Nebraska once and it cost me $24 per pound. I told my wife that I'd never get meat that cheap at my lease. I'll never right that figure down for anyone to find out what it cost !

              Land $258,000
              Corn - no telling
              Protein - no telling
              Stands - $2000
              Game Cams - $1000
              Weapons - A Lot
              Processing - Free

So far 1 deer in 2 yrs of owning the place so roughly $270,000

This is the only time I refuse to pay attention to the numbers....I could buy a nice herd of momma cows for the amount I spend on hunting.

                      Lease $1000
                      Corn - $0
Stand- still have it so $0
                      Camera-$0
                      Arrow- still have it $0
                      Plots- $300

                      $1300 / 4 = 325 + $50 process and a fuel.... $400ish a pop

Not counting travel.. I was in around 7500 last year for 1 buck on my mexico lease. My boys kill all the meat I can eat on our property here in Kerrville.

Why? I never look at the cost of my hunting. My piece of mind, relaxation and experiences are priceless, PERIOD!

Last year I hunted an old friends ranch on the West Prong Nueces

I killed an axis doe, a whitetail doe, and fallow buck

                            Total cost was roughly $1000

We hunt Fredericksburg, so we do a lot of trips just to run around Fredericksburg so it saves me a lot in hotels and restaurants. Cost is about $200 month.
