Well poop. Left the steak out too long

So, my wife pulled two tenderloins out to thaw overnight at around 8pm last night. I woke up this morning at 6 and though they’re not slimy, don’t smell (other than the usual beef smell) and are still cool to the touch, they are definitely thawed.

Take a chance and grill them tonight? Or pull out two different tenderloins and throw out $30 worth of prime beef?

I'd put them in the fridge now and grill 'em this evening.

I let beef get to room temp before grilling most of the time

This. They shouldn’t be cooked much anyway. About like this is perfect.

Heck if they're beef tenderloin, They're ready to eat!! No fire needed!! Best way to do those is take one of them and make a Steak Diane sauce with one using the meat, then pour the Diane sauce over the other one once it is at room temperature. That's pure food heaven right there!! Try it, you'll like it!
