    Old license plate.

This old license plate was nailed to this tree many years before my Dad bought the place in 1971. The man's name was Bill Daniels and everyone called him Mr. Bill. He looked just like an Ace Reid comic cowboy. He used it as a practice target from an old cabin he had about 20 to 30 yards away. Can anyone make any sense out of the numbers and letters. It could be the back of the plate. I don't want to change how it looks. How long before deer season?

If you look in the upper right corner I think the date says 57
