    Nylon washer

    Hey y'all, long shot here.
Looking for a nylon washer as close to the following dimensions as possible:

    1/16" thick; 15/16" ID; 1 5/8" OD
    Or,
    1.7mm; 23.5 ID; 41 mm OD

This came off the steering cable on my boat. 60 horse mariner. It goes between the motor mount bracket and the motor. There were 2, somehow one was misplaced.

I robbed one off another boat but it is thinner and has a slightly larger ID. I included a photo.

This keeps the grease in the sleeve that the steering rod slides through.

A gasket shop could make that

It's hard vinyl, not soft. I will call a gasket shop and see, though.

The washer goes at each end of this bracket.

This is fairly close. They have tons of other materials also.

I need to keep that 1/16" thickness or under.

2 of the 3 measurements is as close as I can get you with a quick search.

Yea, that's not a place you shop for bargains at, but they have what you need most of the time and they have a really user friendly wed site.

Any chance you could find a simple machine shop with a similar solid material in stock and have them turn some on a lathe? But then they might end up costing more than McMaster-Carr.

Its on a boat motor. A $5 washer will be the cheapest thing he'll ever fix on it.

$5.27 is better than looking all over tarnation for one.
