Exactly right. I saw enough frame that my gut said shoot .last tag and don't know if hes a 6 pt or as 30pt. He appeared to be a ten or more with kickers as he was leaving.

Almost made the wrong decision last night...big buck comes in late under my tree. I had just about convinced myself it was Mr BigStuff and I almost drew back, but hesitated just long enough to realize it was a nice 7 I am saving for my wife. She wants to kill one with the crossbow but has been in bed for a week with an infection in her side. Maybe in a week or 2 there will still be some good ones around.

The mistake was not shooting him at 50yd broad side while everything in my gut was yelling shoot. I had no reason to think he wouldn't be there another 10 minutes so I could be positive . 5 minutes later he had walked straight away down to about 175yd and a brighter spot.

I don't know if it was mistakes, but twice I've shot does in thick brush as they crossed my shooting lane when I could hear a deer behind them. At full draw and ready to release, it's hard to pass up a clean shot when you only have about 2 seconds to decide. I'll always wonder if they had big bucks on their tail.

Because that’s what he wants to use.

I guess that’s what you assume, but I wasn’t asking you. But, thanks anyway.

Ok. I gotcha. Looking forward to pics of this Ghost. Next time your gut is screaming, shoot! Then shoot! ...You must have a heck of a honey hole.
