Almost made the wrong decision last night...big buck comes in late under my tree. I had just about convinced myself it was Mr BigStuff and I almost drew back, but hesitated just long enough to realize it was a nice 7 I am saving for my wife. She wants to kill one with the crossbow but has been in bed for a week with an infection in her side. Maybe in a week or 2 there will still be some good ones around.

I don't know if it was mistakes, but twice I've shot does in thick brush as they crossed my shooting lane when I could hear a deer behind them. At full draw and ready to release, it's hard to pass up a clean shot when you only have about 2 seconds to decide. I'll always wonder if they had big bucks on their tail.
