Another one goin under the knife.

Well, this Friday I get my gall bladder removed. It has been giving me a lot of trouble ever since the holidays. This is the first time I've had my inerds worked on, so please be thinking of me. Thanks.

I had mine removed last August. THe surgery was not that bad, the worst part is your body adjusting to not having a gallbladder.

good luck. I had mine removed in 2004. Not bad at all if they do it laproscopically (sp) Prayers sent

My mom had hers removed about two years ago, she said it wasn't to bad.

I had mine removed laproscopically almost 2 years ago. The surgery was in the am, and my wife picked me up at Stanford Hospital at 2 to take me home. I was operated on Friday, and on Sat I was walking around the house, and Sunday took the dog for an easy walk.

If your GB is not infected and ready to rupture, they should go with a laproscopic procedure. Rarely do they have to make an incision and open you up. Be sure to request your gall stones before the surgery- they sure are ugly, green suckers!
