We immediately backed out. Waiting till the morning and going in with the same dog we used on T’s first deer if available.

Blue dot is where he was bedded when we bumped him. He walked the creek along the yellow line.

I’m betting he’s piled up with 50 of where you last seen him!

I think you made the only call you could on him.

Good call. This might be one time that jumping a deer works in your favor. Sounds like that took a lot out of him. He gonna lay down again very soon.

Yes sir! Not taking a chance on pushing him.

I think so. He was in a bind.

Dang it, another long night for y’all but it sounds promising to find him close by in the morning.

T got his horns back tonight.
Taxidermist said no charge. He said a taxidermist caped his first Kansas buck for free years ago and he wanted to pass on the gesture. Awesome guy!!!

Love those nearly touching MB’s, go find yours in the morning and cap this thing off right!

We are up and getting ready.
Dog was unavailable this morning so T & I are going in @ 8:00 to look for him.
That will be 22 hrs from the shot. If he isn’t dead by then, we are heading back to Tx.
                        We’ll update what we find.

He'll be there, 40 yards from last sight.
