Yeah they are small screws. I finally got the little rubber grommets out and the screws as well.

I replaced 2 lenses today. I used a small drill bit and drilled the plugs out until I felt the screw head. Didn’t damage the screw at all. Takes about 15 minutes to swap one out. The biggest pain was getting the lens cover out.

Ah, I gotcha. Now I gotta order a lense. Has anyone ever tried to use one without the lens? If so, what happened?

                  Fix the lenses somehow.
I have 2 with brown packing tape over them, works fine.
So you just put brown packing tape on the outside? Didn't have to unscrew anything and it is working fine? Am I understanding correctly?

How long have you had the cameras out with this fix?

Woodpeckers are undefeated against me and every trail camera I've ever put out. I posted asking for solutions to help with woodpeckers years ago on here. lol

Mine too! This is the one they told me they would not restock!

I am going to try the brown tape!

Just mailed mine out at lunch today. It stopped working, and I'm pretty sure it was the BTC - 5HD. If they get it working for half the price of a new one, I'd call that a win.

I did just find an email where they offered me another one at a reduced price. I just deleted the email. I ordered some fresnel material to try and see how that works. If not, the brown tape will get a shot. If that doesn't work, I'll trash it. I just bought two of the Muddy cameras everyone was talking about on another thread. For $30 each it could save me a lot of aggravation.
