Taylor shot a young doe…his first ever shot at a deer with a bow. He waited 30 minutes and checked the arrow and had good blood. Mo and I went to assist. We had pretty good blood and followed it slowly for a pretty good ways, and then I jumped the deer. She almost ran over me! We backed out, had dinner and then Taylor and I went back out and got back on the trail. She ended up circling and almost crossing trails - close enough that I initially got back on the original trail before realizing it. After that realization, I found new blood about 10 yards away and we followed it until Taylor found her in a small depression! It was small and young, but we were all excited for his first deer with a bow (and second ever, I think!)

Caught a poacher in my gametamer while Kelsey and I were making a loop checking feeders and cameras!

We are back in Bomb Shelter North. A review of the trail camera card shows our target buck was here yesterday morning when we weren't. I thought the wind was less than favorable so we skipped that hunt. He still hangs out here it looks like. Hopefully we cross paths with him tonight.

At least 15 feet.

Several deer around. No shooters. Very cautious.

Many deer in late. Just not the one we are after. We will be back at it in a couple days.
