Why don't you just ask here? All these guys/gals have good info. I can provide some. I hunt with a bow but have a crossbow for my young boys and have done plenty of research on them. I'd be happy to share with you what I know.

When I finally decided if I wanted to hunt in the archery season that I’d have to use a crossbow, I had the same thought. Crossbownation kept coming up so I took a look. Tons of info on just about anything you want to know. Be prepared for a wait of a few days before you can post, but register and start reading, then you’ll get an email that will tell you to follow a link and you’re in. Good luck !

crossbow nation used to be a decent site until the mods got truly biased and a lot of the members left and they're now on crossbowtalk on archery talk....ive learned most of my stuff thru that site and a lot of those guys have been using crossbows longer than most have hunted so I HIGHLY RECOMMEND crossbowtalk.com and crossbow nation if you have a brand specific question on crossbows that aren't very popular lol
