Late Season Tactics?

What is your "Go To" plan after the acorns are gone? Here in East Texas, acorns are the key for me, but once they're gone, it's a different game - a very different game. Some areas become completely void of activity. Always manage to find some in the youpon thickets and clearcuts, but never any substantial numbers. What are your thoughts/experiences?

I've seen deer return to the green areas after acorns and other natural sources deplete such as persimmons,etc... I have seen deer on the side of the road feeding on green winter grass. I have also seen them return to oat patches as well. Anything green.
