Default Boat Trailer Rifle.....House.

I Havnt had a lot of time to work lately, but I have put in a shelf along the back wall, put on the 1st coat of paint, and hung the "faux" cedar beam that will house the 2 overhead LEDs. I could hang a lot of trim tonight, but I need to get it over to dads to rip it on the table saw 1st.

That 2X6 was just pushing up the center while I got some screws in it.

Also cut and drilled all the window track.

Default Boat Trailer Rifle.....House.

What kinda winders you puttin in it Dale?

I know a feller that builds some awful nice ones! Real glass, gasketed, hinged or slider. Can build nearly any size/shape.

Lexan. I should have bought them pre-built....but you know me! Gotta build it ourselves!!!

I'm starting to get tired of this project honestly.

A project for work has been taking up all my free time, but I snuck in a couple hours yesterday to hang time trim. Compound angles suck!

I can hold my own beer! What I need is a trim carpenter! Actually I'm about done with the tricky parts of the trim. And for those who think I'm a moron for putting cedar crown moulding in a deer blind.....well, you're right. But the main reason for it is that masonite that we skinned the inside with gets "wavy" when the weather gets humid, especialy the ceiling. So screwing the 1X4 trim over it really helped take most of the "wave" out of it. Plus it covered up a lot of screw heads.

Anyway, I'm done with the cedar. Just need some paint grade corner trim down the corners, then the 1X4 shelf that will go all the way around about 2' off the floor, and 1' below the windows. Then it's window tracks, carpet (anyone getting new carpet for their house?), fuse panel/lights, and plumbin the heater.

Still need to weld the stabilizer jacks underneath too, might knock that out Saturday. I hope to finish this never ending disaster the week after Bownanza while my wife and son are out of town.

You and the man child are welcome to come up when I'm workin. I never really know when I'm gonna get a spare hour to work though. But that week after Nanza when Blair and Brady are at her folks, is usually when I knock out all my projects that I havn't had time to finish, and eat steak for dinner every night.

Well, the floor piece would have to be at least 10' 6", then to go up the walls to the bottom of the shelf would need about 25 linear feet, 26" wide....but it could be pieced together somewhat with a 6' stretch, an 8' stretch, and a ~11' stretch. Sabe?

Earth tones, not too "Knappy" for easy cleanup would be nice....

That 1st sentence should have said 10' 6" X 6' 2".

Size won't be a problem although its probably "knappier" than what you are looking for. I'll send you a pic of the stuff that I have right now. I think I still have your number saved.

I shouldn't have even started such a thing with a toddler at home (we are almost a year and a half in, working 30 minutes to 4 hours at a time and not at all for months at a time, when time permits), and my wife may refuse to hunt out of it just out of spite for the thing. I'm sure we'll all enjoy it in the future, but it has turned into a pain in the keyster. I'd hate to know what it would take for me to sell it.

Aww, it's cool. She knows if it weren't that thing, it'd be somethin else...it always is. She's just tired of lookin at it in the back yard. Hell I built the shop that I built the blind in, faster than the blind!

I've been thinkin about a name some. Since it's on a boat trailer, I've thought about "The Yacht", "The Buck Boat", or "The Boat House". Even thought about "The West Office", "Sattelite Office", or just "Home" for when I work from it. I have a horse shoe to go over the door though, I reckon that's all I'll put on the outside.

The stuff you cut for me is for our fire pit that I hope to start next week...we'll see...
