Well it was dead till late. The hog came in and was gonna stand there till he finished that corn pile. David spined him then we finished him right there. Lots of squealing. I look left and there stands our target. He passes around a bit looking at the kicking hog and then here comes another stud.

At almost black dark, several more hogs showed and pushed the bucks away. We got hog pics real quick.

At any rate, I got to watch our oldest tx stud at close range. Fun stuff.

Yeah. High lung and spine then follow up. If he had center lunged him first shot. Hog would have run away and bucks could come on in.

I might piggy back this thread a little just for this evening. Just left Garguy's after a pleasant quick visit with him, his dad and his mom. I'm now sitting at the front gate to my lease and will walk in around 3. These woods are talking a little different after that cool air blew in. Let's see what happens.

Y’all go and play
While I’m stuck at work
Not hunting on weekends
Is my little quirk
I’m all about money
Till the weather is right
It’s getting so close
My necks getting tight
Just 2 more days
Your kills I must see
Then hopefully my turn
To show LDP

I know you are working,
Till the rut hits its max.
You shooter may travel
Or slip through the cracks.

Ill hunt aggressive
While your being lax.
Get that overtime
Pay your fair share of TAX!

We’re looking for deer this time
It’s the reason we came
Porkers make fun targets
But it’s more of the same
Bruisers live out there
As history has shown
Your ability to trick them
Is very well known
I love live threads
For that y’all I thank
If Mucho steps out
Put a shank in his tank.

Running out of rhymes. Y’all better shoot something or I’ll have to start singing to ya. Scary

That's one reason I don't hunt out of trees. The other is I don't like being any higher than 8ft off the ground.

Its a great spot. But access sucks. I really need to figure something better out.
Iím posted up in a funnel on eadge of pasture and thicket. Heavy cover to the east, pond right under/beside me to west. Kinda an old narrow hay meadow. On small 70 acre private property surrounded by large mld lease and DCNF.
