I use a round bale for this exact thing. Have also used a 4x6 square bale, only problem with these is if you miss and hit the bale just right your arrow might disappear inside it.

Find a styrofoam block. I’ve been through 2. Found both floating in lakes
Mines 3x3’x 7’ish. Could easily cut I. Half and stack

Bulldog Targets makes some big 48" targets. I have one of their smaller ones that I really like. The 48" x 48" is $650 though.

Tractor supply...ask for the styrofoam blocks their trailers come in...they give them away. 2x1x1 solid foam...duct tape together to make as big a target wall as you need

The Iron Man 41 is 41 in wide x 41 in tall x 16 in deep. Our range targets are made with the top of the line military grade fiber that will last the test of time in the harshest of conditions. Our range targets are double sided, which doubles the length of time that our range target will last. Not only will they last y

After ruining several fletchings in my buddies target bag, I went and bought this block for my 400# crossbow. I've shot everything from 20 yds to about 60. I use it for 22" as well as the crossbow pistol. If you want a fresh target area, you can tape paper to it. I pick random areas to aim for and use it as a backdrop when I'm shooting objects.

I'd highly recommend it to anyone.

If you are shooting field points only you might consider building your own. This one is 32x36 made with about $50 worth of materials

What'd you use for the black area?

Outdoor carpet. I posted about the build 10 years ago this month! I shoot both sides - I’ve rearranged the stuffing and replaced the carpet face every couple of years
