    It will HAve antelope and deer licking around on or through it almost year round. Elk don’t really push in til the snow starts flying and they push down from the nearby mtns, esp if there is no ag. I outfitted not far from there. That is antelope/deer country that low during the earlier seasons, and migratory path area for elk once the snow starts.

      Based on elevation and adjacent mountain ranges, that area wouldn’t support any elk early, but might be prime during the 3rd and maybe 4th seasons, especially if there is a early, heavy snowfall winter and there is agriculture nearby.

        As others have said, it is likely more of a transient, migration parcel being that small. That said, you should be able to see evidence of movement through in the off season I would think.

          Late rifle seasons will be better IF, the snow hits and is heavy in the mountains to the east of the Hwy going north out of Craig. The elk will migrate to the flats for ease of finding grazing.
