Place to have pecans shelling in Houston/SE Texas area?

Anyone know of a place in the Houston or SE Texas area that shells whole pecans?

    Thanks!

I didnt even know this was a thing. Im having a house built on a few acres that has about 25-30 large pecan trees on it. I'll have to keep this in mind for next year. Most of them have the small native pecans but a couple are producing some good size ones.

You could have a bunch of money there. Buyers will pay around $1.50 per pound for raw pecans.
Might be worth looking into having a company come shake them for you once a year. Free cash.

I believe the Canino Farmers market on Airline has pecan shelling machines up front you can use.

Do they give you back whole halves or cracked shells and you still have to finish the job? About how much is their service?

                  Thanks.

I think it's 1.00 a pound and they just crack them, you have to shell them.

Growing up we had a tree with seedlings. They were great but tough to crack and pick but were excellent.

You might think about donating your crop to a Boy or Girl Scout Troop or maybe a youth group at your Church. They can use them as a fundraiser.
