Default Question on hunting the H

My dad and I got drawn for Hagerman. Unfortunately my dad just tore his rotator cuff recently. Does anyone know if provided a Dr. note if a crossbow would be allowed?

I'm not totally sure, but I believe they adhere to the old school rule of medical necessity for cross bows. To be sure you should call the headquarters Monday. Sorry able t your r dads injury. Hope he gets to hunt.

To obtain a Special Use Permit to use a
crossbow for the Hagerman NWR archery
deer hunt:
1) You must provide the refuge with a signed
statement of fact from a licensed physician
(not a physician’s assistant, medical technician/
aide, or nurse) that documents an upper-limb
disability that has resulted in a permanent
loss of the use of fingers, hand, or arm in a
manner that renders you incapable of using a
longbow, compound bow, or recurved bow.
