I went this past weekend out of necessity, stood a Krivoman up on a 10' tower and did a little set landscaping Saturday afternoon. It was friggin' HOT, truck said 111* when we headed back to the house. Did have a couple really nice buck pics, though.

Hoping the storm didn’t destroy our sets or our camp trailers. We are 12 miles east Seymour. I just got everything fixed from the last big storm. Will be headed that way this weekend to inspect the damage.

Just had a little more rain come through Wichita Falls area, deer definitely shouldn't be hurting for food this year......

Haven't been out to the lease near Rule since April. One hunting buddy drove through last weekend and all was still standing. Just hot as !#@$^. Two of the guys going out this weekend. Anxious to hear what might have happened during the storm. Looking forward to the start of Dove season.

Oh my. I'm going out this coming Saturday. I surely hope we didn't have any damage. I'm worried about the pasture between Lockett and Crowell. I guess we'll see....

Sorry for all the guys that know they have damage at this point.

We have about a 15 acre field that was half sunflower and half goatweed a month ago. The cattle guys shredded it not long ago. I probably saw 30 dove on the power line that runs through it Saturday morning along with others when driving through it.

This was last weekend.

She survived the windstorm...thank goodness.

I nailed it down with some t-posts. Had some clouds blow in late this afternoon, kinda weird swirly wind but itís not bad here at camp.

Steak fire getting ready, nice to be at camp solo once in a while.

Cheers!

The boys went back out to some spots they missed earlier in the week. My hay ring bow blind was about 600 yards South of where it used to be. Good thing about it is you can turn it on its side and roll it back to where it belongs. It goes over by the gun blind on the hill.

Made it out and back today. No damage in any of our pastures. Deer are killing the protein. Beginning to check camera cards. So far i've seen one new buck that looks promising. We'll see what else develops.

4th year on this place and finally got a decent buck on cam.

I know there are big deer in this county, but locals keep their age down around our place, lol.

We have tons of deer, but the biggest on cam or seen in 4 yrs is about 120".

I think this one tops them.
Weak 4's but looks good nuff that I'll be flinging an arrow opening morning if I see him.

Y'alls thoughts?

Our lease house lost some shingles and some siding. A big mesquite in the front yard was split in half. Other than that, we had two blinds that were not anchored blow over and that was it. One was junk already and had been replaced so no loss there. Our neighbors had 5 or 6 blinds down, most were fiberglass or wood and were damaged or destroyed. It didn’t look like we got much rain out it.

To answer your question from earlier David, I’d say prob so. Cuz I’m betting it would be easier to see if I was there in person than what the pic depicts. Could be wrong though, cuz I’m wrong fairly frequently! Now if you’re asking is he big enough/old enough? Looks to be in the foggy pic. For me anyway. If he’s inside of 20 yds, I’m betting you could make the shot, and tell all you need to know bout him. Good Huntin, and God Bless, Rusty
