2020/2021 east texas hunting thread

Howdy, Looking for a good processor in the Palestine/Frankston area? Any help would be much appreciated.

Haven't shot anything yet just trying to plan ahead. I normally do it myself but not sure I will have the time this year.

I have used C&C Processing in Elkhart a couple of times. They did a pretty good job. Summer sausage was awesome when I got it a couple years ago.

Strange opener for me in Madison county. Saw lots of does out and about on Thursday afternoon while checking cameras. Hunted Saturday morning away from feeder at a new setup and got busted a by a
couple of does that I didn’t see in the thicket. Saw others moving but out of range. Checked camera and had 7-8 does at my feeder so decided to switch spots and hunt the feeder. Hunted Saturday evening and Sunday morning and never saw a single deer. At least the weather was nice for a change!

Well.... with a new born here I am unable to make it out to my lease in Crockett County. I decided to hunt my home place hard this year in Gregg County. I was blessed with this buck yesterday evening just before dark. He came in with another nice ten point.
