Yeah, all I saw was a young button buck and raccoons.

Was hoping for better, but maybe tomorrow is the day.

Man i had a great hunt this eve. 7pt, 2 nice 8pts, a big 8, and a stud 9. Bunch of does and an unidentified buck late. The big 8 and 9 were 6 or 7 years old. Horses. Amazingly they came in separate but ate together in the food plot at 50yds.

Wow, definitely sounded eventful.

This morning has been zero activity. Not even a doe. Been bird watching all day so far.

Starting to think the limited amount of bucks I have seen on camera may have found a honey and are not leaving their side. Lol

GarGuy are the areas you're hunting mostly wooded? I ask because it sounds like you've got a lot of late season opportunities historically, so I'm curious if you're hunting woods or if it's pasture.

Unfortunately our place is mostly pasture, which is awesome during the rut, but it sucks mightily come late season.

I’m up and set. Last weekend for does here in Anderson County. The ruts winding down so getting my buck looks like a long shot now so I’m here for meat.

Side note: this weather is awful. It just doesn’t feel like deer season.

The big boys have to survive for about 10 more days before their survival rate sky rockets. From what I've seen in the past, hunting season ends for about 90% of people after the conclusion of Thanksgiving weekend. Personally I'm going to make sure my pens have enough corn in them to be able to last for the next 14+ days.

My thinking is that I'm going to let them get comfortable in their little "safe haven" & ideally they'll get into a routine of frequenting the "buffet" of corn. Then, when they're least expecting it, I'll slip in there and hopefully be fortunate enough to arrow a big mature ETX buck.

In person, I saw 3 deer total last season on this piece of property. This year, I've seen a deer nearly every hunt and have logged more hours in the stand over the last 7 weeks than I care to admit. Good luck to everyone this weekend & Happy Thanksgiving! Reminder, hug your loved ones extra tight any/every time you see them.

Sorry for the delay, fellas. It’s warm so I wanted to get him cleaned up and on ice.

I love this pic because it shows all the freaking mass he has, which was just incredible. He went 180 lbs. on the hoof, and for anyone curious he was 13 1/4” inside.

Yesterday was my birthday so this was truly icing on the cake.

Man he was the first buck I had seen in over a week. It had been really slow. I have not seen any signs of chasing since Halloween but he was definitely rutty.

My father-in-law shot this one this morning on our lease in San Augustine county. I posted a thread but figured I would post it up here also since it was a very nice East Texas buck. 16 1/2" wide typical 8pt with a broken left g2
