I had this exact same thing happen several years ago. Tried all of the above suggestions except cutting the yoke off. I was to the point I was ready to just replace the whole thing, gear box included because it was going to be cheaper not to mention the time wasted. As a last resort, I opened the gear box and pulled the gear off at the other end. The yoke then would slide backwards completely off the shaft. I was able to reassemble it all and it has worked great. If you are out of options or patience like I was, might give it a try. You will need a gear puller though.

Do not use a bfh or come along etc. That gearbox is not designed for that much force in that direction. I know from experience. Likely the pin has a piece stuck in or made a big burr when it broke. Like already said, try to put a new pin in then rebuild the u-joint. If you don't know how to rebuild the u-joint PM me and I can else. Worst case cut off the joint and buy new.
