Surprised my nephew today with his first deer hunt. I waited for him to get home from school never told him that I planned on taking him hunting. My brother had all his clothes ready and as soon as he walked in the door told him to get dressed.. I think he thought we were joking..

I had been seeing some good cull bucks and spikes I wanted him to shoot and told him we were gunna wait for them and not shoot anything else… but some good does came out and I could tell he was ready to take his first shot at a deer. I asked if he wanted to shoot her or wait for a buck and we’ll I think the pictures speak for themselves.

He made an absolutely perfect shot with us ruger 300blk at about 75 yards, nice and tight to the arm pit. He split the heart in half. I will say my handloads for his 300blk were DEVASTATING.

Not a bad way to start thanksgiving break and 3 days before his birthday. Best part was I got it all on video.
