Seeing the arrow and a 500yrd track, I would think that deer is running on one lung. Shot one years ago one evening, finished him the next morning around 10:00 still alive but unable to run.

Buck has not been recovered. He thinks he one lunged him. Waited 4 hours before taking up the track. Found his arrow 185 yards into the track. Buck crossed 2 creeks and had made it 525 yards before stopping the track job. He is about to go back out to see if he can locate him. He's talked to a few trackers and everyone thinks the buck is still alive.
