Passed a 160ish 10 point hunting this deer. I think it paid off.

This is a much better thread than I would have thought. Lots of outstanding sixes! Makes mine getting away that much worse *_*

Technically a 7 with a broken brow but pretty big for only 6 points.

Shot him in Mexico a few years ago.

                              I’ve never shot a “big” 6….
I’ve killed only three that I remember and all of them are rifle kills.

The best hunt for a specific deer I have ever had was for a 6pt. He want not huge but old and freaking smart. He was the first deer to leave before day light and the first one out after dark. I hunted that buck for 4 years before one overcast morning and a hot doe kept him in the road for just long enough to get a shot.

My kids hunt with me every hunt and my boys were little. They were sleeping in the blind. I shot and they did not wake up. Once they woke up they asked if I had seen anything and I told them I killed the 6. They both started jumping up and down and hugging me. They ran to where the blood was and could hardly wait to find him in the brush.
I have a picture of them sting on the buck making horns with their hands. It was and is one of my best memories.
