What's a good dehydrator for jerky?

I used to have a decent one (cant remember the brand but it was all plastic in a cylinder) but then it got destroyed when Harvey flooded my house. I have a Game Winner from Academy now and it is sloooooow. Anybody have advice on a better model? Amazon has quite a few to choose from but I'm not opposed to looking elsewhere.

Sounds like you had the Garden Master dehydrator. They work good. Have adjustable heat. Amazon has the best prices I've found for them. Another option would be a Big Chief smoker. You get real smoke flavor at dehydrator temperatures. I use both of these with the Big Chief giving the best results. If the jerky is not all done at the same time you can put it in the dehydrator to finish it. Good luck

I have a Nesco dehydrator that works well but haven't had another brand to compare it to.

If you have a choice get one with most trays.
