    Huntin camp stew

I camp, fish, and hunt a LOT in my retirement, I do my fancy cooking at home or go to a restaurant. I like a one pot dish when I’m in the outback and thought I’d share my latest find. This stuff really holds you over and no morning runs.

1 Big can Dinty Moore Beef stew
1/2 a jar of Herdez Salsa Verde
    1 Can of Pinto beans
1 cup of sautéed chopped celery
1 cup of sautéed chopped onions
1 little can of green chilies whatever heat you want

Throw it all in a pot, heat, then add or don’t add whatever water or broth for whatever thickness you prefer.

    Eat with some cornbread.

It surprised me on how good it taste.

Well the first ingredient is a meal of its own. And when you add beans to it there is no chance you have the trots the next day. You must be iron gut McGee!

Given your ingredient list I also find this hard to believe

Really the only thing that upsets my early morning huntin mellow is pickled eggs, chili, and raw oysters with lots of horseradish and beer.

        Give the stew a try.

We make kind of the same thing when we camp. Put it in a Dutch oven and spread out a can of biscuits on top. Cook it until the biscuits are golden brown on top.

I accidently dropped the spoon in the pot once and some of it splashed up and landed on my forehead. My tongue almost beat my brains out.
