Default What's going on with his back???

Sorry if this has been posted before my time on the GS, but I've got multiple years of pics of this buck, what's going on with his back? Google is not helping me with this or I'm typing in the wrong words for this search. He has this "ribbing" looking effect on his back. Anyone seen anything like this?

Never seen it.

Needs a full body mount, or at least a half mount.

The top half!

Never seen one in person, but in the past few years, I have seen multiple guys post pictures of bucks with a similar pattern to their hide. I have no clue, what the deal is. Never seen any pictures of one like that till about 3 years ago.

I got/had one like that too. He was 2yo marginal spike last year that I had bow in hand considering shooting and couldn't tell if his "points" were under and inch. This year he was a full on spike with 1 brow and was going to get shot but never showed himself. I haven't had pics of him in a month so I'm sure somebody else took him out.

I watched a doe go under the fence (smooth wire) to get in feed pen, and her back had these stripes on them after going through.

From the looks of this last picture it almost looks like its not a color pattern but actually raised like fat rolls.
