Turner Seed food Plot for Spring

Was trying to get some first hand suggestions on what grows the best around my area (Gatesville/Coryell Co).
I was looking up Turner Spring Deer Mix. Looks pretty good.
    Spring Deer Mix
    Cowpea (Ace)20%
    Cowpea (Red Ripper)16%
    Lab Lab (Rongai)15%
    Cowpea (Iron & Clay)12%
    Okra (Clemson)12%
    Soybean10%
    Buckwheat5%
    Chicory5%
    Sunn Hemp5%

Didn't know if I should take some away, and add something else. Etc.... For around my area. Was going to call them, but decided to ask here first.

This will be my first food plot on the land.

Do you suggest putting fertilizer on virgin ground? Something like I can get at Lowes. Think it's 13-13-13 or 15-15-15.

One plot will be around 2ac with Oak trees. Other is mostly field, it's around 5ac. Good dark dirt with rocks mixed in.

I have been burning in these areas, and spreading ashes all over.
Equipment I have is a skid steer with mower and tiller. Have a 50gal tank with spray boom. Will spread seed with a grain drill behind a pickup. Then pray for rain.

    Thank you

This is what turned me off to their mix. I do like their seed though
