College daughter wanted a bed frame

One of my Daughter's wanted a bed frame for her college room. She and my wife found the baskets they wanted for underneath to store clothes in. They were both unsure if this would be stained lightly or painted. Ultimately decided first on stain, then changed to paint - after the wood had been purchased. I do have a "foot panel" that will slide in and out - if she decides to have that side open or closed off. All sides put together with pocket holes, the rest comes to together with Torx via threaded inserts. Intended to break down into a small package. I did get to use some of GrandPa's clamps during the build. Ultimately daughter and wife happy. KJ

Looks good. Do you have any pics of the way the fasteners attach? Curious to see...might be a trick to add to my arsenal.

Hi Folks, hope this link works: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...0?ie=UTF8&th=1

These are the threaded inserts. I did also exopy them a bit.
These are the Torx that I used.

I did have to chase the threads once, but they hold together well. I was also told that the "black of the screw thingy heads look nice against the antique white paint". The "screw thingy" - Wife really likes to throw out technical jargon.

Jon B, attached is a picture showing the inserts, the Torx bolt and a 2x2 with an insert in it. I built a jig to line up all the holes on the sides of the bed frame. Pilot hole, then followed up with a 3/8" hole. The inserts have threads on them. In hardwood, I doubt you would need epoxy. I went ahead and used some on each insert. Ping me if you have more questions. KJ
