Bringing this one back up. I'm 35, and live next to the Woodlands and just went in to the Low T Clinic to get tested, came in at 205. They want to perform weekly injections for treatment, no take home kits or tabs. I have a small copay for these injections if I go back for a second blood test before treatment.

My question is should I be seeing someone else? A recommended Urologist for instance in the area. I like the idea of tabs or take home injections more than showing up at the Low T clinic once a week to get my fix. Any recommendations from someone that lives in the area or has experience with the Low T clinic would be much appreciated.

I was in your shoes as well. Got tested at a Low T center but the providers where PA's. When I asked if the supervising physician was available I was told no. So I went to a Urologist that specializes in Low T here in San Antonio. That is your best option.

Yep, seemed like a red flag to me as well that a PA was consulting me. Anyone want to recommend a Urologist in North Houston / Woodlands / Conroe area?

I went yesterday for a checkup with my PCP about chronic fatigue and after blood work it turns out I have low T at 30 years old. Doctor prescribed Clomid due to the fact that I haven't even begun to have kids yet. For those of you that have been prescribed this medication, how much are you taking. Im a pretty big guy at 6'4" and 230 lbs and she started me off taking half of a 50 mg tablet 3 times a week.

Does this seem pretty average? Or should I look into going and seeing a specialist here in Austin somewhere?

50 yo. I have been on TT for about 5 or 6 months now. Before I started, T levels were around 325. Last blood work showed my level at 1130. I don't notice any BAD side effects, all GOOD. I'm hungry a lot but don't eat a lot of garbage. I also had low vitamin B12, which I have also been taking. Wife likes it a lot, as do I.

I am taking .25ml injections 2x a week. I have never been too crazy about needles but it isn't really a big deal giving myself injections. The benefits are worth it.

My pcp did the initial blood work and then referred me to a urologist. He recommends the injections over all other TT methods. Said it is easier to adjust if needed. Does not like the pellets and seems to dislike the pills even more.

Just my 2 cents. I highly recommend it if your levels are low.

A bit of discussed info between me a friend and our doc- just medical speculation not necessarily fact by any means.

So my friends that I know and overwhelmingly what seem to be a lot of test patients are young (late 20’s- 30’s) former high level athletes who started to compete in very extensive sports at a young age through college. That was very interesting and certainly must have a correlation. The thoughts by our doc and what makes a lot of sense to us is that starting early and being at a highly demanding position we started producing test and produced hard while running our body’s at optimal speeds all the way through when most of our careers ended after college and we changed lifestyles for the most part. Most of us were working out rather on the field, weight room, what not 8-10 hours a day in college. Which simply can’t be replicated after your done with athletics being your job..... So basically that all comes crashing down and our bodies thought it was time to be done, so quit producing.... hence all of the young former athletes with low T numbers. There is not scientific fact behind this that I know of but like I said our doctors opinion and makes a whole hell of a lot of sense to me.....

I am a perfect example of this, and on shots feel like a completely different person again.... my 2 cents....

That's where I started, 1 every other day, didn't work so went to 1 a day and jumped up to 550, now trying 1.5 day to hopefully eek it up. You can work yourself to 2 a day.

Does it also help you loose weight?

Has anyone been told what time of the day is best to take daily Clomid?
