If you guys are asking for simple suggestions. No need for wind on leaders just put a top shot on. Boat will have spools of mono and I usually carry a spool. Braid I would go 65# or better. I can’t break 65# myself and if it gets in the boat it doesn’t matter it’s gonna cut off. Rods/reels. If you have something you can cast that has a drag system around 20# or more. Rods need to have some backbone for lift.
I have a quality spin reel I’m bringing without a rod if anyone has an xtra rod. It’s a Penn Torque 7 so it has plenty of line and drag. You could easily complicate things or just keep it simple.
