Default Cross Country airboating

Chambers County decided to close the only navigable waterway between our camp and the river so we made a new trail.

What we didnít know till an hour later was that the Sheriff was trying to catch us but got their boat stuck on our trail.

Here is the trail

I wish Calhoun county SD & TP&W would enforce trespassing laws!
Airboats can jump the levees on mission bay on to posted private property all day long

A grass rake on the boat makes running a little grass like that nicer.

That’s all we do on airboats in the Glades but have hundreds of thousands of acres to do it in, great fun. Glad , you guys got it done!

No doubt but a rake would be in the way of the Bowfishing lights that are normally on the boat, Oh, and the Sheriff that got stuck following me had a rake

Iím sure they enjoyed running the boat, having to get out and push and then call for help not so much!

Yeah, a rake won't make a boat run dry better but it will get you up on top of thick grass easier. Looked like some cane grass y'all were running tho.

Rake and bowfishing no bueno. lol

Glad, the popo boat didn't make the run.

And on today's Youtube adventure of Airboat Outlaws, bboswell loses the law on the water in the grass. Only to be caught up with a little later at fish camp. Stay tuned for the outcome. And his next adventure on: Airboat Outlaws!

I guess I’m ignorant ( no help on this please) but what laws were broken if any? Is that strip of marshland private property? Core Of Engineer issues?

If the sheriff got stuck, how did they know where to find you?

Were you breaking any laws?

Cross private property?

Curious why they were even after you in the first place

We left a district trail through the cane.

No laws broken. Itís Gatorfest weekend so they are giving airboat rides for $$, they block off the channel that leads in here because thatís where they are loading and unloading customers.

They assumed we were going to be running around in the section they were giving rides in, once explained we had no intension of being anywhere near them all was cool.

In reality, many people believe the only laws broken was blocking a navigable water way thus blocking access to private property. I understand the owner of the RV park is taking that to task before next year.
