Anyone here get a discount on carbon fiber tubing?
I've been through all the websites and looked at pricing.

We do a lot of CF production and also buy a lot of tubing. Discount and what you are looking for are mutually exclusive.

The 10ft length is going to be hard to find. What modulus carbon do you need? What weave? Have you had any engineering done to verify you actually need that OD and wall thickness?

I'll be running Solidworks analysis this week to check standard sizes. No clue on modulus or weave. Just getting started on this.

I have a whole stack of CF tubes, approximately 1 1/2" diameter, and about 10' long. They have stainless steel connectors on the end. I have no idea what they were made for.

I will try to get pictures, this weekend.

how much would it cost to engineer this out of carbon fiber?
just the tripod... not the mess. somehow I don't have a better picture of it.
