    4 Wheeler Stuck

Went hunting the other day and thought it would be a good idea to try and cross a ditch at a slow rate of speed.

Well needless to say, the bottom fell out and I didn’t move anywhere.

I thought no big deal, I’ve got a winch and about 50’ of rope. Stretched line out to an h-brace, and pulled some winch line out.

Well it didn’t work. It would let line out, but not pull in.

I knew the land owner was going to be out there, so I reluctantly called and asked for help.

Could directional tires have made a difference? Current tires are Maxxis Bighorn 25”. 4 wheeler is a 2007 Yamaha Grizzly 4x4 450, wit full locking front and all time rear differential.

Soup like that I'm unsure any type of tire would help.

I'm thinking faster rate of speed and leaned back, but yes- true mud tires would have gotten you a few feet further at least.

Was it that soupy when you started? Most likely good mud tires would’ve pulled you further through but you’d have to hit it pretty hard.

I think good mud tires would have gotten you stuck even worse. [emoji1787]

              Get a stronger winch

Looks like you high centered in the soup. Not much was going to save you except a taller tire. Even then, I see how deep the foot prints are… a taller tire might not have made much difference.

Slop without bottom is TUFF...Tires with more flotation/tractor lugs/plenty tow stap/Ground anchor/tree to tie to etc. good luck

Sounds like a better winch would have helped.

I think not going through that would be the best idea lol. If you have to hit it really fast and make sure its recorded!!

Ain't nothing getting through that without a winch.

Looks like a good spot to avoid.

                              Sometimes you just get stuck.
