Wyatt Earp and brothers believed in prostitution. But also believed in citizens not owning guns. Just a thought while I watch Tombstone tonight

Prostitution was common in those days mostly because for several years there was a severe shortage of women in the frontier towns. Most men had guns but not nearly as many men carried revolvers as movies and tv portrayed. Cowtowns were the first to restrict the carrying of guns in town simply because alcohol and gunpowder do not mix well.
So……the moral of this story is you check one of your guns, but get to keep the other !

I missed that one. What is the book you’re reading on this?

Wait a minute, calm down and listen to me!
Nobody's saying you cant own a gun.
Nobody's even saying you can't carry a gun.
All we're saying is you can't carry a gun in town."
Hit me with another one! I can quote the whole thing!
