Walnut hulls in a burlap sack worked well too.

Heard it was all good unless you dialed the GW's number

Leaches rotenone or similar chemical if I am not mistaken. Works well in stagnate water.

That would be the wrong number.

I watched a episode of Lonestar law, where they shocked the fish in a pond, to remove all of the existing fish, before they stocked it with some special breed of large mouth bass.

So it seems, they can call fish, but we can't.

Not sure how that "LURE" works.

Would you go to your local body of water and demonstrate?

I had one like that. Evidently someone was tired of getting shocked and built a box around it. Lost mine and all my guns in a boating accident.

Someone told me that these were replaced by a small electronic device that would fit in your pocket.

They had some of them on display on the GW “Hall of Shame” trailer at one of the wildlife shows. They are little and run off a 9volt battery.

I had a friend in the electronics business that swears that a myth.

what I was gonna say, about the size of a quarter+wire.

555 timer, couple resistors, capacitors and diode stack.

I've still got a few of them. Once I had to leave one in a armadillo hole when we got rode up on by some ranch hands. What kind of ranch hands would be out working on a hot drizzly summer day. At least that's what we thought. Ran a couple of miles and those brairs will definately do a job on you. About a week later my fishing buddy was stopped by the ranch foreman and said I've got your phone and I better not ever catch you in our property. He said what phone and acted like he didn't know what he was talking about. So we waited a few weeks for things to calm down and then went fishing again where we left off. Sure enought the phone we stashed in the armadillo hole was gone.
