    Foreign eater

So my wife brought home this pup two years ago. It is a rescue dog that was almost certainly going to go in the wrong hands. Well Tater has now become part of the family. The problem is he likes to eat or chew on any kind of foreign object around in the yard. Sticks, rocks, plants, I mean he chews on everything! Well last night we had to spend $500 on a vet bill because he ate something and almost died. (X-rays didn’t show anything for sure) He still isn’t out of the woods. But seems a little better this morning.
Do y’all have any advise on how to slow this activity?
    Thanks,
    Shaun

Cone of shame until you are there to let him eat.

We had dogs that would do the same thing. Then puke all over the place. We started making sure there were plenty of antlers around for them to chew on, and that seems to help a lot. Would imagine if he had something he likes to chew on better, he would focus on that?
