    Probably a long term usage archaic lodge site. They built up like that all my the hill country. It will be full of artifacts if thats indeed what he has. There are thousands of them.

      Cool. I’ve found arrowheads all over Texas while hunting or just walking around, and I’ve found a bunch at the deer lease recently, but I’ve never found a mound. Or atleast never noticed one. The landowner recently had guys coming in for digs at our lease but the spots they’ve been digging don’t seem to have a reason that sticks out to me other then close to a creek bed

                                Holy smokes . . . Just spent the last week going through the entire thread. Amazing finds, and amazing knowledge shared with anyone interested in asking or reading. Thank you for all the pictures of the finds from the various digs. This is pretty interesting stuff that I never knew I was interested in.
